Welcome back to NPL! We hope you had a great summer!

To ensure everyone has a pleasant experience at NPL, please be aware of the following guidelines.

Parking at NPL

Students and faculty must park in designated school lots.DO NOT PARK in the library lot.

Do not use NPL's parking lot as a pick-up location after school. If your student is using the library, find an available parking spot to wait for your student to exit the library. Avoid parking in emergency and disabled spaces. There are six quick 10 minute spots available.

There is parking designated in the library lot for library staff.

Busy Times at NPL

The busiest time to visit NPL is Monday-Friday, from 2:30-5pm. While this may be a convenient time for some, it can also be more crowded and noisier than usual. By visiting during non-busy hours, you can enjoy a more peaceful and productive experience.

Teen Space

Teen Space is held in the Library’s Whole Meeting Room on Monday-Friday from 2:45-5pm on regular school days (except during vacation breaks and days that school is closed). Teen Space is open to students in grades 7-12. Proof of student status is required. Come hang out with friends, play games, do homework, and have fun after school in Teen Space!

Teen Area on 2nd Floor

Our Teen Area has been transformed into a more practical space for students to study and work in small groups! The Teen Area room capacity is currently 22 students. Adults are welcome to accompany students in this space, if needed.

Unattended Children

Parents, guardians or caregivers of children under the age of seven must be responsible for maintaining visual contact with and be in the presence of their child at all times. Library staff have observed small children wandering close to the building's front doors without a caregiver present. This poses a safety risk as the driveway is very busy.

Study Rooms

NPL offers many rooms and open spaces for working, studying, reading and socializing. NPL has study rooms on both floors. The rooms are first-come, first-served, and single users will not be asked to relocate to accommodate groups.

Additional tables are available throughout the building. Please note that some areas are designed with particular age groups in mind.

Rentable Meeting Rooms

Our smallest room starts at $10 per hour for residents over 18 years of age. Please note that no meeting rooms are available for patron use without a paid meeting room rental.

The Library will allow 15 people in line at one time when visiting the Café.
